SUMMER BBQ THEME
The New Age Fundraiser made its return for a second year at the same venue as the first ever New Age Fundraiser, at Slung Low, Holbeck Working Men's Club.
The place was made into a summer bbq theme, with barbecued food, and the event consisted of different stalls, live music, poetry, theatre showcasing, and many more!
The theme was brought to life with the help of Nicole Art by designing the sign for the event and hence the photobooth area for the event. The night allowed different mediums of arts to be under one roof and showing support to each others communities.
The event was very successful in bringing in different communities together, as there was an opportunity for various different artforms to be shared on the stage and off the stage. With four musical acts, dancers, stand up comedians and live theatre.
The fundraiser was very fortunate enough to have a rehearsal date for the event before the showcase itself. This allowed the crew and the performers and the stall managers to familiarise themselves and get comfortable in the space before showcasing their work to the audience.
The purpose of having these stalls for NAF is to broaden the support to locals and other communities, and within itself builds a familiar creative space for the stalls and creatives that attend.
The NAF2 team consisted of students, and free-lance creatives.
